MessahelALGIERS - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, will represent President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), the Foreign Ministry announced Monday January 21st in a communiqué.

"Representative of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, will take part in the work of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, on 22 January 2019, in Davos-Klosters (Switzerland)," the same source said.

As a panellist, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will lead a session entitled "Peace and National Reconciliation", organized by the World Economic Forum, where he will make a contribution on "the Algerian experience in this area, including the national reconciliation policy conducted by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika", the statement adds.
The Davos Forum, which is in its 49th year, "is an important annual event that aims to contribute to the development of the international agenda of political, economic and socio-cultural issues as well as questions of international peace and security," the MFA stresses.
