COPENHAGEN - Speaking at a Conference held Thursday at the Royal Danish Defence College (Copenhagen), Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel stressed that Algeria was a "textbook case" of national reconciliation.

The Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel paid an official visit to Copenhagen, Denmark, on 9 and 10 January 2019, and to Helsinki, Finland, on 11 and 12 of the same month, in response to invitations of his Danish and Finnish counterparts, Anders Samuelsen and Timo Soini respectively.
The tour aimed to boost the political dialogue and economic partnership with the Scandinavian countries, with which Algeria has traditional relations of friendship and cooperation.

At the invitation of Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Lindiwe Sisulu has paid a working visit to Algeria on January 13th and 14th 2019.
The visit, part of enhancing the brotherhood, friendship and cooperation ties between the two countries, will be an opportunity for both FMs to assess bilateral relations and engage in a new partnership, with a view to bringing them up to the level of the privileged political relations between Algeria and South Africa.
ALGIERS - UN Special Envoy, Chief of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Ghassan Salamé will pay a working visit to Algeria on 7 and 8 January 2019, announced Sunday the Algerian Foreign Ministry.
"As part of the permanent consultation between Algeria and the UN on Libya’s situation Ghassan Salamé, UN Special Envoy, Chief of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) will pay a working visit to Algeria on 7 - 8 January 2019," said the Ministry in a Statement.
